How does authentication work for the OData feed in Power BI and Excel?
DigiData secures the downstream OData feed using HTTP Basic Authentication. When Power BI or Excel prompts for credentials, select Basic. Enter your DigiData OData API key into the Passwordfield. The username field is ignored by our authentication service (you can enter 'apikey' or any label). This downstream feed authentication is completely separate from the OAuth2 authorization between DigiData and your upstream ERP or accounting software.
How often is data synchronized and when does it occur?
DigiData synchronizes at chosen daily times, defaulting to 00:00 UTC. Reports read stored data, while source synchronization uses your software API. Schedule Power BI refresh after a successful synchronization and check the last successful update.
Can I combine multiple administrations or legal entities into a single report?
Supported connectors such as Exact Online and Twinfield let you include multiple entities in your reports. Keep entity identifiers when joining tables and align currencies, account mappings and periods. Group reporting needs shared definitions; statutory consolidation eliminations are not automatic.
