What can you do with your own data in DigiData?
With the CSV upload you add data for which no automatic link is necessary or available. DigiData helps you with the columns read carefully and check the content before you start imports. Then you can view, filter and export. If you use the DigiData AI agent, you can view the table also include questions about your company. Thus, a budget planning or separate list outside your central data environment remain standing.

Save your file as CSV
Open the spreadsheet in Excel or Google Sheets and choose CSV UTF-8 as the file format.

DigiData shows the columns and sample lines before you import. This way you can immediately see whether the file is being read correctly.
Make the details clear
Give the table and columns understandable names and adjust the type of data where necessary, for example date, amount or text.
Use and share the outcome
Filter the data, redownload it as CSV, or let the AI agent work with it when you grant it access.

An upload is a snapshot
A CSV file is not automatically refreshed. That makes it suitable for a budget, planning or one-off analysis. Changes the source file, then upload the new version again.
Does the data change every day? Then choose where possible a automatic integration. DigiData then retrieves new data without anyone having to restart need to prepare a file.

Frequently asked questions about your own CSV data
Can I upload an Excel file?
Not directly. First save the worksheet in Excel or Google Sheets as CSV UTF-8. You can then upload that file.
Can the AI agent answer questions about my CSV data?
Yes. After the import, the table can be made available to the DigiData AI agent. You decide whether the agent has access to this data.
Does an uploaded file update automatically?
No. A CSV upload is a snapshot. If the source file changes, upload the new version again. For data that continuously changes, an automatic software connection is usually more useful.
Can I find my original file?
Yes. You can re-download the originally uploaded file. You can also export the imported table as CSV.
When do I choose a CSV upload instead of an integration?
A CSV upload fits well with budgets, goals, planning and one-off analyses. For data that changes daily, such as bookings or hours, we recommend automatic integration.
